NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

C.P. 35-25-700 AGGREGATE PRODUCTION-MAINTENANCE SHOULDERING

Bids Close at 2:30 P.M. on March 28, 2025

Sealed bids will be received until 2:30 P.M. on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Kittson County

Highway Department, 401 2nd Street SW, Hallock, Minnesota on behalf of the County

Commissioners of Kittson County for the purpose of letting the contract for the following project:

County Project No. 35-25-600, Aggregate Production - Maintenance Shouldering

Scope of the Project:

The project will be one segment, West bound and East bound, with the following approximate

dimensions:

3.0' wide from the Edge of Bituminous

3" depth

Material shall be SHOULDER BASE AGGREGATE, CLASS 1 OR BITUMINOUS MILLINGS,

90/10 BLEND provided by the Contractor.

Shoulder material shall meet the requirements of 3138 AGGREGATE FOR SURF ACE AND BASE

COURSES.

Shoulder material shall be loaded, hauled, and placed with a minimum of two complete operations

with a shouldering machine, water truck, the necessary shaping and compaction equipment, and a

broom.

Traffic control will be done by others.

Proposal forms with specifications may be obtained at the Kittson County Highway Department, 401

Second St. SW, Hallock, Minnesota 56728 (218-843-2686). Each bid must be accompanied by a

certified check or bidder's bond made payable to Kittson County in the sum not less than five (5%)

percent of the amount bid.

The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities therein and

to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the County.
