NW RIC BOARD MEETING

October 3, 2022

NW RIC Board members present included Holly Burkel, Carol Rhen, Tera Nordby, Mark Johnson and Matt Nordin. Also, present Special Education Director Kim Johnson, Superintendent Bob Jaszczak and Assistant Director Becky Levenhagen.

Chairperson Nordin called the NW RIC Board Meeting to order.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the August 8, 2022 regular business meeting. Moved by Johnson, seconded by Burkel. Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the September board bills in the amount of $37,420.15 and October board bills in the amount of $12,234.19. Moved by Nordby, seconded by Johnson. Motion Carried.

The following informational items were presented by Special Education Director: Back to School Update, MDE Post-Secondary Outcomes Survey Review, ECSE Update, Cash Flow and Cash Expenditures.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the agenda as presented. Moved by Burkel, seconded by Rhen. Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the contract with Megan Johnson as a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2022-23 school year. Moved by Nordin, seconded by Johnson. Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the second and final reading of the following NW RIC Policies: 410 Family and Medical Leave; 413 Harassment and Violence; 414 Mandated Reporting of Child Neglect or Physical or Sexual Abuse; 415 Mandated Reporting of Maltreatment of Vulnerable Adults; 524 Internet Acceptable Use and Safety Policy. Moved by Johnson, seconded by Rhen. Motion Carried

Motion was made by Burkel to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Nordby. Motion Carried. Meeting adjourned.

The next regular NW RIC Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 5, 2022, at 6:00 PM.
