Obituary/Carol Jeanne Krinke

Carol Jeanne Krinke was born October 9, 1932 in Ogilvie, Minnesota to Elmer and Dolores (Steckelberg) Krinke.  She attended Ogilvie High School, graduating in 1950.  After graduation, she went to St. Paul and worked at Mack Truck Co.  She met Allen at her Aunt’s home in St. Paul.  They were married on Christmas Day, 1950.  After Allen’s graduation from the University of Minnesota Veterinary College in June of 1954, they moved to Greenbush to establish a veterinary practice.  Carol worked with Allen for 32 years.  She made the appointments, assisted with surgeries, did the bookkeeping, and managed the office.  She enjoyed meeting the clients, pets, and helping all she could.
She and Allen had two children, Paul Allen (deceased in 1999) and Patricia Jeanne.  Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were a joy to her, watching them grow, cooking for them, and photographing their activities.  She loved to read and travel the US and internationally and was interested in learning about the history and culture of every place they visited.
She and Allen spent 29 winters in Arizona.  There she visited with friends, square danced, and was a member of the View Point Camera Club.  She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.  She served on the church council, was active in BLCW, alter guild, wedding coordination, and taught Sunday School. 
After Allen’s death in 2016, Carol remained in their Greenbush home, later moved to LifeCare Greenbush Manor.  In 2023, she moved to Big Lake, MN to be closer to family. 
She was preceeded in death by her husband Allen, son Paul, parents Dolores and Elmer Krinke, and great grandson Ethan Larson.  She is survived by daughter Patricia Jeanne of Lakeville, Matthew Larson of Thief River Falls, MN, Mikkel Langaas of Jackson Hole, WY,  Mark Larson (Amy) of Hawley MN, Cara Sorenson (Rick) of Big Lake MN, and Patrick Fahnlander (Kristen) of Bluefield, WV.  Also surviving are Carol’s siblings Pauline DeJong, Lambert Krinke, and Mariann Ostbye.  Surviving Great Grandchildren include Paul Larson, Preston Larson, Ayden Larson, Josie Larson, Eleanor Sorenson, and Emelia Sorenson. 
Funeral service were held at 11:00AM, Monday, January 26, 2026 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Greenbush.
Visitation was held after 5PM, Sunday, with a prayer service at 7PM at the church.  Visitation was also held one hour prior to services.
Interment services were held at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery of Greenbush.
