NW RIC BOARD MEETING

August 7, 2023

NW RIC Board members present included Matt Nordin, Mindy Dunrud, Holly Burkel, Allison Harder and Mark Johnson. Also, present Special Education Director Kim Johnson and Assistant Director Becky Levenhagen, Superintendent Bob Jaszczak, EA representatives Deb Davidson and Jeremy Sollund.

Chairperson Nordin called the NW RIC Board Meeting to order.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the agenda as presented. Moved by Johnson, seconded by Harder. Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2023 regular business meeting. Moved by Burkel, seconded by Dunrud. Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve contracts/agreements for the 2023-24 school year. Moved by Johnson, seconded by Dunrud. Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the July board bills in the amount of $45,471.93 and August board bills in the amount of $4,114.21. Moved by Nordin, seconded by Johnson. Motion Carried.

Special Ed Director reported on NW RIC Staff Assignments for 2023-24 school year, NW RIC Mentorship process overview, 2023-24 Professional Development, August back to school schedule, CPI Training August 15-17, New Teacher Workshop August 31st , NW RIC fall workshop days August 23 & 24 Paraprofessional Training August 24th virtually, Cash Flow and Cash Expenditures.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the annual review of the following policy: 413 Harassment and Violence. Moved by Nordin, seconded by Burkel. Motion Carried.

Motion was made by Dunrud to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Burkel. Motion Carried. Meeting adjourned.

The next regular NW RIC Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 2, 2023, at 6 p.m.
