The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Murray at 6:30 PM. A quorum was determined. The Pledge of

Allegiance was recited.

Members present were:

Murray, Hanson, Koland, Sollund, Burkel, Oliver, Olson. As well as Superintendent Muckenhirn.

Motion by Burkel, second by Hanson to approve the Regular School Board Agenda for February 14, 2024 as presented. UC

Motion by Oliver, second by Murray to approve the previous Regular School Board Minutes of January 1 , 2024 as presented. UC

Motion made by Burkel, seconded by Koland to authorize payment for claims in the funds as presented. UC

Motion by Sollund, seconded by Burkel to accept the resignation of Kendra Hays effective January 30, 2024. UC

Motion by Hanson, seconded by Oliver to accept the resignation of Jasmine Walz effective February 16, 2024. UC

Motion by Oliver, seconded by Burkel to accept with gratitude the donation of $3,583.00 from Wikstrom Telephone Company. UC

Motion by Sollund, seconded by Murray to approve the FCCLA overnight field trip as presented. UC

Calendar options for 2024-2025 were reviewed.

K-12 enrollment update was presented.

Dean of Students Report: READ Act.

Superintendent Report: e-Rate application, MDE desk audit, Business manager position, probationary notification process and date, budget process, regional legal seminar, legislative session.

Board and Committee Report: Burkel attended NWRIC, Joint Powers met February 21 for its organization meeting.

Next regular Tri County School Board Meeting: Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 6:30 PM at Tri-County

School Library in Karlstad, Minnesota.

MASB/MASA Day at the Capitol: March 18, 2024
