The Petition asks to vacate a certain portion of 110th Street in conjunction with the Karlstad Airport Project lying generally and approximately three-eighths of a mile of 110th St. along the South boundary of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section Twenty-eight (Wl/2SW1/4 Sect. 28), Arveson Township, and more particularly described as follows: 110th Street Vacation All of 110th street over and across that part of the South Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 28, and also that part of said street over and across that part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 29, and also that part of said street over and across that part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 32, and also that part of said street over and across that part of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, all in Township 159 North, Range 45 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Kittson County, Minnesota. The center line of said street is described as follows: - Commencing at the northeast corner of said Section 32; - thence on an assumed bearing of North 89 degrees 57 minutes 17 seconds West, along the north line of said Section 32, a distance of 14 7 .00 feet to the point of beginning of the line to be described; - thence on a bearing of South 89 degrees 57 minutes 17 seconds East, along the north line of said Section 32, a distance of 147.00 feet to the northeast corner of said Section 32; - thence on a bearing of North 89 degrees 46 minutes 09 seconds East, along the north line of said Section 33, a distance of 1576.00 feet and said line there terminating. The hearing will commence with a viewing of the vacation site (described above) and thereafter recess and reconvene at Arveson Township Hall. Testimony from the public regarding the same may be limited due to time constraints. However, concerned persons may submit unlimited written public comment.
