October 7, 2024

NW RIC Board members present included Matt Nordin, Craig Bakke, Tera Nordby, Rozlynn Johnsrud and Mark Johnson.  Also, present Special Education Director Kim Johnson and Superintendent Tom Loberg. 

Chairperson Nordin called the NW RIC Board Meeting to order and established a quorum was present.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the agenda as presented.  Moved by Johnson, seconded by Nordby.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the August 5, 2024 regular business meeting.   Moved by Nordby, seconded by Bakke.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the September board bills in the amount of $55,695.37 and October board bills in the amount of $35,282.17.  Moved by Johnson, seconded by Bakke.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the resignation of Stephanie Baumgartner, Occupational Therapist/ASD Consultant, effective August 19,2024.  Moved by Dunrud, seconded by Johnson.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the employment of Karen Dvergsten, .5 FTE Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher, effective August 27, 2024.  Moved by Johnson, seconded by Nordin.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the Agreement for Services with Anna Woinarowicz, Autism Consultant, for 25 days for the 2024-25 school year.   Moved by Nordin, seconded by Johnsrud.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the contracts/agreements for the 2024-25 school year (Contract Grid) with the addition of Huddle Up Solutions.  Moved by Johnson, seconded by Bakke.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the FY25 NW RIC Expenditure Budget.  Moved by Nordby, seconded by Nordin.  Motion Carried.

Special Ed Director reported on Staffing and Back -to-School Update, FY24 School District Caseloads, Programming Monitoring Update, Cash Expenditures and Cash Flow.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the NW RIC 2023-24 Audited Financial Statement as presented by 

Auditor Amanda Scanson from Brady Martz and Associates.  Moved by Nordin, seconded by Nordby.  Motion Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED to approve the first reading of NW RIC Policy #407 – Employee Right To Know-Exposure to Hazardous Substances.   Moved by Nordin, seconded by Johnson.  Motion Carried.

Motion was made by Bakke to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Nordby.  Motion Carried.  Meeting adjourned.

The next regular NW RIC Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
